In all my paintings, I aim to paint the magical beauty of nature. I start my paintings outside on location, where I get to spend time looking at the sunlight on the scene. I have fun mixing the beautiful colors of the sky, the sea,

or trees.

 I am happy getting to know the beauty of Hawaii and its light living in Lahaina on Maui. The more I try to paint what I see, the more I must really look closely to learn the exact

shape and color of what I am painting this

gives me a chance to look again, really becoming present in nature.

My style is representational with a touch of abstract creating a depth of the feeling in my paintings. I am grateful to share my love of Hawaii’s beauty with you, bringing my love of the islands.

My background is I graduated from San Francisco Art Institute in 1985 with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Filmmaking. I worked in the

Film & Video Production business as a Professional Lighting Technician for

15 years in the S.F. Bay area. I have been painting for many years I am a member of

the Lahaina Arts Society. I have painted with the Maui Plein Aire Painters, Hilo Plein Aire Painters, Nevada County Plein Air Painters

and am a member of the S.F Watercolor community. I have shown my paintings in several group shows and Open Studios.
